It pairs well with cured cheeses like Queijo de Serpa (DOP), Queijo “Tetilla” (DOP), Queijo “Comté” (DOP), and Queijo “Grana Padano” (DOP).

Fundão Cherry Extra Jam with Brandy

The characteristics of this jam make it an ideal accompaniment for cheeses such as Queijo da Ilha de S. Jorge, Azores (DOP), Queijo Fresco de Castelo Branco, Queijo “Beato de Tábara”, Queijo “Asiago” (DOP), and mild cheeses like cow cheese. Bravo de Esmolfe Apple Extra Jam with Cinnamon

The Bravo de Esmolfe Apple DOP is a fruit with unique characteristics, extremely aromatic and juicy, sweet and simultaneously acidic. It has an oblong-conical shape, white flesh, and its whitish skin often shows reddish spots. This regional variety, known since the 18th century, originates from the village of Esmolfe (Penalva do Castelo) and is believed to have been obtained from a seed-grown tree. Due to the high appreciation of its fruit, grafts were made, spreading this variety across various fruit-growing areas, especially in the Beira Alta region and parts of Cova da Beira.

Fundão Cherry Extra Jam with Brandy

The Fundão Cherry is firm and fleshy with a very sweet taste, ranging in color from bright red to purple-red, and some varieties may even have an orange tint. The brandy, produced from the best Portuguese grapes, has a unique aroma and flavor resulting from the distillation of grapes from the varieties Arinto, Periquita, Trincadeira, and Fernão Pires.
