Description
This honey drop fig jam, produced with figs from the region of Trás-os-Montes, Portugal, a sweet, tasty fruit with a consistent pulp, mixed with orange from the Algarve region, a sweet and sour fruit, finished with cinnamon, a spice that for 200 years, the Portuguese controlled the monopoly of commercialization, originating from Sri Lanka.
Ideal for pairing with cheeses, Serra da Estrela Cheese (PDO), “Brie de Meaux“, “Brie de Melun“ (PDO), “Gorgonzola“ (PDO), “Leyden“ Cheese (PGI).

They are opaque, with no contact between the product and light, reduced contact with air after opening, which reduces oxidation and increases the validity of the product.

Origin of raw materials
Depending on the season of production, figs are called lampos (May and June) and vintage (July/September) . It is a fruit with well-marked organoleptic characteristics, with great nutritional qualities, being rich in vitamins B and C and mineral salts (especially calcium, phosphorus and potassium).
Cinnamon has a warm, pleasantly sweet yet intense aroma. Its flavor is warm and fragrant, reminiscent of cloves and citrus. It presents a light brown color, with touches of bronze. For 200 years, the Portuguese controlled the monopoly on the commercialization of this spice, originally from Sri Lanka.
