The Persimmon and Orange Jam with Walnuts and Moscatel is ideal to accompany cheeses such as Leyden Cheese (PGI), Provolone Cheese (DOP), Murcia Cheese (DOP), Azeitão Cheese (DOP) and Serra de Estrela Cheese ( PDO). In addition, it is perfect for spreading sunflower seed cereal toast or filling macarons.

The raw materials used are of Portuguese origin and have unique characteristics. Rocha Pear from Oeste PDO is an exclusively Portuguese variety produced on the Central West Coast of Portugal, recognized as a traditional, quality product that forms an integral part of the Portuguese Cultural Heritage. Persimmon originates from China, although much more popular in Japan. Blueberries, on the other hand, grow in clusters and vary in size, flavor and color, and are rich in antioxidants. This jam is made with blueberries obtained in organic production, from our farm in Vila Nova de Famalicão.

‘Rocha’ Pear Extra Jam with ‘Douro’ Muscatel
Rocha Pear PDO is an exclusively Portuguese variety, produced mostly on the West Central Coast of Portugal, with an approximate production area of 10,000 ha. The soil and climate factors and the expertise of the people of the West are crucial conditions for obtaining this product with exceptional organoleptic qualities, which are appreciated and recognized worldwide.
Rocha Pear PDO – Protected Designation of Origin – has the Community recognition as a traditional, quality product, which is an integral part of the Portuguese Cultural Heritage.
Persimmon and Orange Extra Jam with Walnuts and ‘Douro’ Muscatel
Persimmon originates from China, although it is much more popular in Japan. In Portugal, two predominant varieties can be found: red and orange. The first one is the most common, presenting itself in its mature state as a very sweet and soft fruit, requiring great care to carry out its transport. The second variety is much tougher and does not require great care in handling. Its fruit, known as persimmon or Japanese apricot, contains a large amount of water and is low in calories, vitamins are part of its composition in addition to proteins, iron and calcium.
Douro Muscatel is made from the Muscatel Galego variety, from Vale do Douro production, which represents the largest patch of Muscatel vines in the Douro, it is aged for 18 months in French oak vats.
Blueberry Extra Jam with Melissa
Blueberries grow in clusters and range in size from the equivalent of a small pea to the equivalent of a marble. Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) is a lively plant, cultivated or sub spontaneous in our country, which can grow up to 80 cm in height and 50 cm in diameter. It was introduced a long time ago in Europe, from Western Asia, and it is common to find it close to houses, on paths, hedges, slopes, even next to vineyards. Also known as melissa or citronella minor, its leaves, when manipulated, release a strong and pleasant aroma of sweet lemon. Despite being resistant to the cold, its aerial part can even disappear completely during the winter.
