A typically Portuguese dessert, essential at Christmas, with a special touch of the jams meia.dúzia®, in a recipe created by Chef Gil Pinto!

Ingredients
- 200 ml water
- 75g of butter
- 1 lemon peel
- 1 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 cardamom seed
- 1 salt coffee spoon
- 200g of flour
- 5 eggs
- ‘Bravo of Esmolfe’ Apple Extra Jam with Cinnamon meia.dúzia®
- Blueberry Extra Jam with Melissa meia.dúzia®
Method of preparation:
- In a pan, bring the water to the boil with the salt, butter, lemon, cinnamon, anise and cardamom seeds. Bring to a boil to infuse the flavours of the spices and remove them;
- Add the flour all at once and mix until the dough comes off the pan;
- Remove from heat, pour into a bowl and let cool slightly;
- Add the eggs one by one and always stir;
- Bring the oil to the boil and heat, put spoonfuls of the dough in the oil so that there is enough space for the dough to rise;
- When the dough rises above the oil level, prick it with a fork and let the dreams fry;
- Remove the "sonhos" and let the oil flow;
- Pass the sonhos in sugar and cinnamon, cut them so that the filling can be inserted ‘Bravo of Esmolfe’ Apple Extra Jam with Cinnamon meia.dúzia® and the filling of Blueberry Extra Jam with Melissa meia.dúzia®.
